The Yugu Mural Village was established to shed light on the history of the local textile industry, which began with handloom fabric-making in the late Joseon Dynasty, and to promote the industry for the future. The murals on the exterior walls of the textile factories, symbolic images of Yugu Market and locally beloved pine trees decorate the village. The area contains Geumsumandang-ro, a street with tile murals created to wish for happiness and prosperity of Yugu, as well as artistic benches and a street of culture and the arts.
